The ever-romantic FEAST at Round Hill in Washingtonville NY was where Kayla and Ray were married. Having experience at FEAST, I was looking forward to the gorgeous garden area that is like none other. There’s a water feature, stone pathways, and mature, lush landscaping. When I learned that Kayla and Ray were having their wedding and reception there, I was so happy for them.
Kayla, along with her mom, her sister, and her bridesmaids seemed to enjoy every minute getting ready in the bridal suite upstairs. They had their hair & makeup done by two of the best artists (Hair Stylist: Katie Kelly Makeup: Alana Schmidt} that the Hudson Valley has to offer.
Raymond got ready for the big day at a local hotel, along with his best friends, his sister (best woman), and their very beloved dog who was part of the ceremony.
First Looks
Kayla made it a point to have a First Look with her dad, right before her First Look with Ray. I always hope for a lot of emotion during a first look, and with Kayla and Ray you could feel the love wash through them when they saw one another.
Kayla even had a first look with her pup, not something you see typically at a wedding. He was such a sweet boy and very happy to see his mom.
Rain, Go Away
In between the episodes of rain throughout the day, we took advantage of the beautiful locations that FEAST has. There is the extensive, beautiful garden areas by the cocktail hour area. The ceremony area with a fountain is also wonderful, and because they had to make the decision to have the ceremony indoors because of the weather, we at least got a few photos in front of the tree they love. The field is always a favorite location where the light can be very painterly and romantic.
With full on rain, we were able to stay dry with portraits on the porch. Kayla’s veil was gorgeously long and flowy.
A favorite part of the night is a break from the reception to cap off the event for a final couple picture in the garden. Thankfully, we had a nice, dry area in the quiet.
Kayla and Ray were such wonderful couple to work with, and their family and friends made our jobs easy with their graciousness. I wish for them all the best for this next amazing chapter in their lives.
